Submit

Stingray welcomes submissions both from established and emerging writers, and those who do not consider themselves writers as such but have something interesting to say.  Of couse, these are not mutually exclusive!

Submit for print or online

We are now closed for submissions for Issue 2′s travel theme, which will be out this summer.  However we are always open for ideas and short pieces for online (600 words max), which could be on the next issue’s theme of travel, musings on current literary events, or reviews.  Please email submit@stingraymag.com to suggest a piece or for further details.  The theme of Issue 3 will be announced shortly.

Spoken word interest

For the launch of Issue 2 in London this summer we will be holding an innovative spoken word event.  Previously we have hosted nights which combine traditional poetry from the likes of Tim Wells, performance from Fran Macmillan and more unusual performances which make us look at writing in a different way – for example, there was a very sexy reading of Nigel Slater, who surely changed the way we think, and write about food in this country.  If you are interested to get involved with either your own work or something else, get in touch with letters@stingraymag.com.
